Roku Express | HD Roku Streaming Device with Standard Remote (no TV controls), Free & Live TV

We absolutely love our new Roku device! We own a smart TV but for some reason couldn't get it to connect to wifi for anything! I tried resetting the TV, searching online, couldn't figure it out. So when this went on sale for under $18, I ordered it and I'm so glad I did! It's been a game changer as far as how much variety we can choose from to watch, and alot of it, free!Setup was super easy, plug in, follow on screen steps, connect to wifi network and boom! You're up an running. We didn't have any issues with setup and we just bought another 2 devices, one for our bedroom TV, and another as a gift for a friend of ours who is not tech savvy, and if he can set this up, anyone can. I highly recommend this streaming device. The only difference between this one and the higher priced version is that the higher priced one has the remote that controls your TV volume as well. We're fine using our TV remote for that, so this was perfect! Don't hesitate if you're on the fence. We love our Amazon Roku Express.

Works great, is pretty fast. Overall a very reasonably priced device that's great for turning a computer monitor or old TV into a smart TV. Keep in mind this one DOES NOT have the power button and volume on the remote. I'm pretty sure those buttons wouldn't work anyways if you're like me and converted a nice computer monitor into a small TV. I knew it didn't have these buttons before I bought it, just know what you're getting and no problem.As for the device itself, there are a lot of different apps you can get, HULU, MLB, Netflix, Roku TV, all that fun stuff. The device itself has a power cord that needs to be plugged in as well. There is no battery, it just plugs in for power. It hooks into your TV or monitor via HDMI cable.

I already had a Roku in my living room and needed another one this was perfect for my bedroom it is easy to plug and unplug if you need to move it , the sound is nice , the better the tv the better the sound , came with the Roku device , the remote , cord to plug it in ,HDMI cord, and batteries for remote , the streaming is fast and easy but it depends on your wifi mine is pretty fast so I have no issues ! 10/10 would buy again , it’s amazing for the price .

My tv is not a smart tv and all it takes is two outlets and your tv turns into a smart tv. I had to update it when I installed it, but it's incredible. When I watch YouTube on it, the sound is very loud compared to when I play movies on my DVD player, so I have to turn my volume down to 10 so I don't make the whole house listen to what I'm watching.It's very customizable. You can choose to have Tubi, YouTube, Spotify, Cartoon Network all on your home screen. You can also choose a theme, and it gives you a sound that goes with it when you press buttons on your remote. I have the Wild West theme on, and I love it. Very easy to setup.

For the most part, it works as expected. But I've had one issue that I can't resolve. With my main Netflix profile (not the kids profile), I have to restart the Roku device before playing anything. If I don't, then the show/movie I watch either doesn't load or the picture skips/black screens, audio skips and ultimately the device crashes and restarts. A restart fixes this immediately.I have tried uninstalling the app, deleting and creating new profiles, and resetting the Roku as a whole and it still results in this strange behavior. I've never experienced it on other Roku devices nor other streaming devices.If anyone else had experienced this - what did you do to resolve? Maybe I'll reach out to Roku and see if they'll exchange my device for a new one.

I got it because we couldn’t find the remote to the one we had due to our recent move and although it is larger than our old one, it does come with some adhesive tape so you can stick it onto the side, back or under part of your TV, which actually comes in really handy so I can be out of the way. It was easy to set up. There’s also an app which allows you to add features straight from it. I myself have an iPhone, which is compatible, and it was fairly easy to set up.

Fast and easy. Had an old Samgung TV that would not download the apps that I commonly use like YouTube. This device took about 5 minutes to set up was all set up with all the apps I use on my other TV and devices. All you need is a good internet connection and you're good to go, no monthly fees or anything to worry about.One thing to note is that the remote that comes with the device only controls the ROKU functions, not your TV functions like power on/off or volume. So if you have the original remote for the TV, you have to switch between the two remotes depending on what you're wanting to do. Although, I'm sure that there are universal remotes out there that could be programmed to work for the TV and the ROKU unit, I just haven't investigated that far yet. This one gets and A+ from me. $20 turned a nice TV that was otherwise useless to me into a nice functional bedroom TV!

Works perfectly and it so, so much better than the terrible Toshiba interface. I bought it because the MLB app stopped working on my TV, and since I got it, I haven't had to interact with the old interface at all, and my life is better because of that. The Roku is super fast and hasn't had a single issue yet. Simple to set up.The only thing I would suggest is that I wish I'd paid the extra money for the version that has the power and volume control because it's a little annoying having to keep track of two remotes. That isn't the Roku's fault though.
