I bought this for a recent vacation/cruise my wife and I took and I am very impressed. The quality and craftsmanship are great, including magnetic chips which don't slide around at all. We probably played 1,000+ games on the ship, on the planes, in a bus, etc. without any issues. It is a little bigger than I expected but after hauling it around daily for a week I have no complaints. We also used it for other dice/card games as well which was ideal. Would highly recommend if you enjoy Backgammon! If I had one complaint, it would be the set does look a bit girly and visibly carrying it definitely looks like I'm carrying a purse lol. Totally worth it though!

Super cute, durable, and packable. Got for the in laws to travel with and they love it. Word of warning- looks like a laptop on bag scans so TSA may make you whip it out like they did to me.

Love this travel backgammon set. It's a great size and the magnetic component allows for easy game playing while on the go.

Great quality game. My only complaint is the hinge is too tight, so it doesn't lay completely flat when open. Even so, the pieces don't slip because of the felt.

Small and magnetic. You can play this if you're taking a bus and we take buses for a longer trip. If you're taking an Amtrak train and we take Amtrak trains and even on an aircraft. You can play a game with your seat made with no problem. And you don't have to worry about bumps air pockets that you hit on their airplane or anything like that. Because everything stays in place. It's not very big but big enough. I highly recommend this for a travel set.

This set comes with the cups which are an essential part of the backgammon experience. Cute and the perfect size. Magnets are not very strong, so you can’t close it up mid game. The magnets are more to keep your markers from sliding around during travel.

I discovered backgammon when staying at an Airbnb, where they had a similar "travel size" game with magnetic checkers, and liked it so much I wanted to have one at home. The green and beige board I ordered looks even better than the one I learned on, the checkers are great (and my cats can't move them so easily because they stay in place!), the box is very well made and looks elegant in my library, and most of all, the game is so much fun! Totally addictive, and easy to play in any place I go to.
