Ideal for purpose
A very useful compost at a decent price, it has gone a long way in filling my containers in whichI have planted many bulbs for Spring flowering, I have every confidence that they will come onwell in this compost, it is easy to handle also.

Seems to be a top-class compost.
By the rapidity of my seeds sprouting I can only assume that this is top class compost. The seeds came up very quickly and grow extremely fast. I've used the soil when transplanting into the garden and the seedlings are all doing extremely well.

Not a happy gardener.
I received this item quickly 3 bags ordered and delivered. I have since planted my flowers like I do each year and found this compose has lots of weed and most of my plants have failed even after feeding.not what I expected to be happening so soon.i have had to replace the compose and plants so I'm not a happy gardener

Ants nest when bag opened.I flicked onto grass then put boiling water so killing grass
A small amount of this compost fell onto the lawn.It made a horubble black patch when I swept it up.What can we do now cos it's ruined the look of the lawn and we are afraid to put way wrong on the patch to dilute it in case it spleads. My hubby is mad with me gorgeous spoiling his lawe. WHAT CAN WE DO NOW????I need to ask the suppliers what to put on the awful black patch.I bought it to grow seeds inside in pots.Is it going to kill the seeds as well?-or me, even?I'm adding this at 4.00 am....When I opened the bag of compost a million ants ran out all over everywhere from a nest in the bag...there were like tiny white eggs...so I flicked all that I could see from the bag onto the grass, then in panic (cos it was by a wall)I went and pour editorial boiling water over the area to kill the ants cisco I didn't want then to go in the cracks in this wall.So it may be the boiling water that's killed the patch of grass and not the compost. What do we for now though with this patch of grass that's dead? Will we have to try to dig it up and put grass seed on it cos it looks absolutely dead??.So I think the problem was the ants nest in the top of the bag and probably not the compost,I have to let you know that.

Not too bad
It is quite rough with some large pieces of sticks etc so good for spreading but no good for delicate seedlings etc
