Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them – Newt Scamander: A Movie Scrapbook (Fantastic Beasts Film Tie in)

This book is absolutely amazing !!! perfect for all the fantastic beasts fans out there. There are two maps and few cards with pictures of beasts and whole lot of other cute knick knacks like mini magazine covers etc.

This was about as average and basic for a behind-the-scenes book as you can get.What stood out from other books like this was the items that were included; it added a level of interactivity that I've only ever experienced with Marilyn Monroe: The Personal Archive, but personally I felt that the items included didn't really expand on the North American side of the Wizarding World too much, there wasn't any kind of interesting tidbits, trivia or facts about that world, but there were facts about the film-making process. One thing I did like in this book that I felt was missing from the original Fantastic Beasts book was that there were pictures/illustrations for the magical creatures.Overall, this book felt redundant to me, because the information presented didn't feel very new because I knew this stuff already, but some of the concept art and illustrations were good, but I feel like that could've been seen in more robust books like those from the "Art Of..." series. I would say this is a nice treat for kids and young Harry Potter fans, but definitely not for the older crowd. Also, can we talk about how many of these kinds of books exist for Fantastic Beasts? I've seen so many storybooks, guidebooks, movie companions, etc. based off of this movie alone, how much information can you convey for so many books? And mind you, there's more movies coming in this series, imagine how many more of these kinds of books they'll make for them!
