Great mini PC for the price.
My wife had an HP Ryzen7 desktop that blew out when she accidently looped the other end of a USB cable back into another USB port. I didn't have time to troubleshoot it so I purchased this Trigkey mini PC as a temporary PC to get her back up and running quickly while I looked for a more fitting PC for all of her database applications. To my surprise, the Trigkey has more RAM, SSD, and CPU speed than the HP did, and with more available USB ports. And, takes up less than a sq foot of space. I transferred her existing SSD data from the HP over using an external SSD transporter. She's happy with this little powerhouse mini PC, at half the price of most desktop PCs. I don't know if Trigkey is the original OEM for this box because I've seen similar mini PCs with different names on them. This Trigkey mini has been running about a month with no issues.

Solid PC
This is a solid PC! 5800H 1tb SSD, 32 gb ramI sweated the purchase of this small TrigKey PC for several weeks before buying. Reviews seemed generally positive, but there are quite a few negative reviews. My experience has been all great. It is fast. I am replacing an old i5 desktop PC that is too old to upgrade to windows 11. It is significantly faster than this old PC. Activation went smoothly with no issues. Windows 11 pro is different than Windows 10 pro, but after a few hours of fiddling with settings, I am already accustomed to the operating system. As with everything there are a few negatives.1. Moving my old peripherals required some adapters and new cables. I purchased a dp to DVI cable so the old monitor would work.2. It has only 5 USB ports. All of my older equipment us USB 2.0. The 4 USB 2 ports are not enough. I had to add old and retired powered USB hub back into service. The single USB C port remains vacant.3. The audio port is in the front between the sole USB C port and the power button. With my old speaker system plugged in, the USB C port is crowded out. I am not able to put a USB C flash drive into this port. So, to use the USB C port I have to unplug the audio cable.4. The PC lacks an SD card reader. I was able to attach one to my powered USB hub.I view all these negatives as trivial and easily worked around. The TrigKey s5 Pro Max works great. It is virtually silent, but my computing is basic. I do not hear the fan at all. I do not a gamer, but it does play some 20 year old games very smoothly. The system is used for Word, Excel, Outlook, and a few other productivity apps. I have not dived into the BIOS to futz around, so no comments on that.Shipping was NOT fast. It took almost 2 weeks to arrive. Not an issue, as I was in no immediate need. All in all I would buy again without hesitation.Update:Added a Crucial BX500 2TB internal SSD. It now works flawlessly. However, since I am not a power user it was difficult to get working. Drive must be initiated, formatted, and given a drive name and letter. Somehow I stumbled through this process. The extra drive makes up for the small 1TB drive my 5800H came with.Update2After 3 months of use the PC still runs great with nearly no issues. HOWEVER, the fan has become quite noisy. I have the pc mounted on the back of my monitor which frees up a lot of space, but the fan is becoming annoying.I have also added a TV to the HDMI port. Both the monitor and the TV seem to work well together.

Not Bad for the Price
I bought this to play steam games on. Pure gaming/entertainment PC. Ive had it for about 2 months, I think. It does what I wanted it to do and well. Mine came with 32GB of RAM I immediately doubled it so I cannot say how it runs with 32GB of ram. I don’t think it’ll be a big difference for gaming. I play simple games like brawlhala or TMNT. Nothing too resource hungry. The graphics off the cpu are more than sufficient for what I use it for. Wifi works great, bluetooth works great. I also added a 1TB drive to it. Easy install. Very easy to upgrade memory and add storage.Cons:Not much for support. - website is sparse.:The cpu and system drive are not easily accessible.Dual Monitors did not work.Loud Fan

excellant overall general purpose machine
to begin with i heard about microserf thats what i call microsoft now roll out windows 11 with no legacy support , since my computer is a 10 year old mini tower i7 which win 11 wouldn't install because the age of the machine and the fact its a legacy machine. so i research which machine would suit me best i landed on this trigkey s5 mini pc. with the purchase of this said machine i bought a hub and external dvd-rom and a extra terabyte ssd . the original plan was to install freebsd go from there. due to technical vagaries of freebsd and my lack of understanding of what to do . i had to go mx linux kde a debian spinoff and kde will its free windows after a fashion . out of the box everything works printer, monitor and the operating system. of the games i do play. scorn, agony's succubus, 2 world 2 goty edition are the most graphic intensive games they work flawlessly after configing wine actually was easy. i had to learn to install the video codecs for dvd rom. as for s5 will it took a hour to transfer my asus i7 took the whole day. its my main machine now and learn linux is a truffle since i am 57 i been into pc's and tech since the 80's and ibm pc the best that sounded like war of world tom cruise powering up and dos's fdisk and os/2 it's an equal to mid grade tower . even with intergrated graphics card i had no problem except for skyrim i have morrowind which is a better game in my opinion its upgraded daggerfall which i played to death . any ways with win 11 not its fine machine i have no complaints 5 starsan update month using this trigkey's mini pc as of may the 4th 2024 after a shakedown period i put to many input devices on the hub's usb 2.0 buffer i was getting a weird keyboard breakdown but after i put the keyboard on the usb 3.0 everything is working perfectly. as for the computer itself well i no complaints since its working as intended and is my main daily driver now which you can and the fact im using mx debian linux kde theres minor differences between it and windows nothing big enough i can complain about. its the first computer i bought myself i love it love amd ryzen7 speed , yea i know its not a 8 or 9 migrating data which took my asus i7 quad core 8 hours to do vs 45 minutes on this ryzen 7 so yea its fasta last update third month operation and every thing is running smoothly and gaming on linux is better than windows the computers itself running like a champ faster then my on old i7 quad core asus . and as a daily driver the s5 can be
