A vet brought this along for an appointment when she was doing some testing on my horse. Instead of sedating him, she used this to see if we could keep him sufficiently distracted during her noninvasive testing. It worked like a charm!

Using this to get a nervous horse comfortable with ear touching, etc. It works well, he likes it and will put up with a bunch to get some of it. Just doing short sessions and he's hardly consumed any of it. It works best at first, seems like he gets kind of oversugared after a while, so that's why the short sessions. I leave him wishing for more and he is keeping a good attitude about the sessions. Although from what I've seen, some horses will chomp an entire one down if given the chance.

This stuff is amazing! No horse turns their nose up to this, and we call it "The Lickey" because we use it for horses that are acting up or getting fidgety during farrier-y, light medical procedures, and sometimes just a little laugh when we're bored in the barn and want to give the horses a treat. We'll say "Go get The Lickey" when we need it. I can't recommend this product enough if you need to distract your horse or you just want a treat and want to watch your horse go bananas over this stuff. I freeze it so they can't bite into it or get too much at one time. They still love it just as much when it's frozen. Seriously, buy The Lickey. You won't regret it.

I was so excited to use this product!! But it arrived broken and I won’t be able to use it. Super bummed because it took a long time too.

This has made saddling easy. They are so distracted licking this, they do not fuss when the girth is tightened. Also helps when the farrier comes to keep them busy while the farrier works on the feet.

I bought this to help with training foot shy horses (per Steve Young Horsemanship). It works like a charm ... I have not had a single equine turn it down. Beware! They love it so much they try to chomp on it. Also, don't leave it in a hot car or other hot places as it will melt. When I ordered this in the high heat of summer, it came sealed, but the cake had melted to the lid and I couldn't get it off. I put the cake out in the sun for a few hours and it re-leveled itself.

I picked this to expedite some training. When I find a particularly difficult subject for a horse or pony to accept, I add this in once they understand what I am looking for and are no longer displaying unwanted behaviors. Seems to really help break a few mental barriers when there's a positive to something they are very skeptical about. I tried this and the mint. The original by far has been the biggest hit. I also like that I just hold the tub as I allow them to lick avoiding some of the mentality that they are taking a resource from me as with a regular treat fed from the hand could be.
