Urnex UBI71370, 11.6 Ounce (Pack of 1)

I was nervous about putting these into my D6. But you clearly aren’t supposed to take that machine apart and after 6 months (I suppose 6x30x10 = about 1800 cups) the grinder was clearly clogged and coffee had a 50/50 chance of tasting awesome or like dishwater. I capful of these and a few passes with sacrificial coffee beans and we are back to a perfect machine. Couldn’t recommend more. Fantastic product.

There's good news and the bad news and the bad one goes first:Bad news: This food-touching product is almost all-secret ingredients and made in a country (USA) with relatively lax food safety regulations for me. Most probably I'm overreacting but my trust in the product is not complete and thus it's not a five-star product.Good news: I decided to buy SuperGrindz because the grinder in my 8-year old automatic machine started making irregular noises, as if it was struggling. After one session, the sound is normal and I think I bought a few more years' lifetime just after the first application but we'll see how it goes.The flavor of the first "clean" coffee is noticeably but not unpleasantly different. I can't say if it's because of the product's flavoring (if any) or lack of stale bean particles.There are only pictograms as instructions and this is quite open for improvisation. I don't know if this is producer's intention or not. I used the prescribed amount, did not mix coffee beans with the product. To have longer grinding (and cleaning) cycles I brewed double espressos.

It really works! Saved me from buying an expensive new super automatic or an overpriced refurbishment. The directions are useless. I had to go to youtube to see how to use it. Basically, you remove any beans, run a capful of these pellets through the grinder. I ran them through three times and the puck became lighter each time. Then I put the beans back in and wasted 3 cups of coffee to ensure the pellets were all gone, and the coffee was safe to drink. Our household has been using oily beans in our machine for two years. It stopped grinding the beans last week and we were nearly insane over it. Why have a high end machine if I can't enjoy the beans you prefer? I'm very happy now. From now on I will run these through each time I do a decalc. I recommend them for super automatics. Cheaper than a new machine :--)

Product is so easy to use and really did a good job of clearing out the burrs on our older Jura Impressa x70, which has almost 27,000 cups on the cup counter. The hardest thing for us was trying to pick the right time to do the cleaning, since it's recommended to do it when the bean count is low, and grind until the pucks have no white flecks. Seattle Coffee Gear has a great instructional video if needed.Be sure to only use the SUPERGRINDZ product with superautomatics. There's also an Urnex GRINDZ product for standalone grinders, I use the GRINDZ product on our Sette 270, and it works equally well for standalones!

I used this product on our DeLonghi super automatic espresso machine following the directions provided. The grinder had become quite slow due to using oily beans. After one treatment the grinder returned to it’s original performance. I am very impressed with the results.

Burr grinders in the Super Automatic espresso machines collect coffee grounds over time and it really effects the performance of the machine and the quality of the shot. Our machine had so much built up coffee sludge it stopped grinding. So I used a sample pack of Grindz and was amazed at the difference in the quality of the shot and the sound of the Burr Grinder when it was able to spin unimpeded. I thought the machine was Kaput the grinder was spinning so fast but soon realized the coffee had built up so much sludge on the the grinder it just stopped. The shot quality was so much better to boot. I ran two doses of Grindz and the difference was truly night and day. So all I can say is get some and keep it around and when your machine wants to run a descale cycle clean the Burr Grinder also.

I own a Tchibo beans to brew machine since April 2021 and never had cleaned the grinder until now (January 2024) instead I only had followed Tchibo’s cleaning instructions. I was hesitant to try Urnex UBI71370 after having read negative feedback specifically mentioning how it had destroyed another user's Tchibo. But since I had temporarily switched to an oily roast a grinder cleaning seemed inevitable.I used Urnex UBI71370 but, since I know how hot water makes cereal swell, I made sure to stop my Tchibo from brewing and pushing any water through the brew unit with this product in the brew unit (by pushing the brew button again as soon as the grinder stopped). I repeated this step three times, completely cleaned the unit, made three cups of coffee for the drain and now my Tchibo works like new and the coffee tastes phenomenal again.So, yes, this works for for the Tchibo.
