Perfect size and shape
We bought this for our Dachshund because her old bowl was too small. This one is just the right size for her and the amount of food she is eating twice a day. Easy to clean and doesn't slip around when she eats.

Doesn't tip over.
My cats were constantly tipping their dry food dish over. Then we would have to sweep it up and put it back in the dish we used. That was a daily thing and my wife and I were fed up with that. I decided to buy one of these bowls. Well now they don't push it around and they don't tip it over. That's a big relief. Something on the bottom of the dish makes it so it doesn't move on the floor. It also doesn't leave any marks on the floor. The stainless steel it's made of seems to be really thing considering the whole bowl is not heavy at all. Anyways this was a great purchase for us and a stress reliever as well !

Solid and sanitary
It's a great stainless steel bowl for pet use. Easy to clean, light weight but heavy enough to not move around much.

If non skid is your primary concern, then this bowl isn't right for you
It's a good size and holds about 1.5 cups of kibble but it's a little too lightweight. The "non skid" ring is very thin plastic, not rubber and it's a little loose. It's going to get brittle soon and break off. I'll wait until that happens then I'll buy the more expensive bowl with a rubber base that I found at the pet store.

This dish does exactly what I wanted it to do.
We have two cats that share one water dish. The old dish was just a larger rectangular plastic Tupperware container since it previously had to hold enough water for our dog who has since passed away. One of our cats is a bigger cat that for some reason could not seem to get a drink of water without moving the dish all over the floor. Leaving large puddles of water behind in the process. Did everything we could think of to get him to stop with no luck. So after one day of having multiple wet hand towels hung up to air dry that we had used to mop up the water we decided something had to change. After looking at several dishes we went with this one because several other reviews stated they were having the same problem with their pets as we were with other dishes. That this dish had stopped those problems. When it came it was bigger than we thought it would be but that wasn't a turn off. We actually thought that would be a good thing because that meant if it worked in stopping our bigger cat from moving the dish around and spilling water all over the floor than it would hold more water and there would be less worry about it going dry on a hot summer day while we were at work. So far we have been using the dish for a week and it is doing what we wanted it to do. Now the only puddles of water on the floor are tiny ones we are accidently making as we pick it up to refill it in the morning or as we are putting it back down on the floor and knocking our finger against the side. So long story short is if you are having problems like we were having of a pet moving their water dish all over the floor get this dish, you will be happy you did.

It’s big and not prone to tip
It holds a lot of water and doesn’t tip easily, now to get my dog to stop sitting in it.

Very large
This dish would be great for a dog that drinks a lot of water. It was too big for my cats

Dog bowl
It definitely does not tip over. I have a cat that love to splash and tip the water and he can't. The dog loves the bowl.

Only holds about 48oz
The bowl is decent. It's not very heavy at all but the wide bottom should keep the cat from tipping it over.HOWEVER I only rated it a 4 star because it does not hold 64 oz of water as advertised. We tested it and it will barely hold 48oz. Not a huge deal...but if you have a big dog that drinks alot while you're away at work...it might be.
